Overview
I am delighted to support the recruitment of a HR Systems Lead to project manage the implementation of a new HR and ATS platform. This role will take the helm of a HR technology transformation, running a full RFP from scratch, including selection, contract negotiations and procurement, through to data cleansing, data validation, migration, and eventual implementation. We are seeking an experienced HR Systems Lead to drive the successful implementation and transition of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HR platform. This role will oversee the end-to-end delivery of the programme, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, data integrity, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of HR system implementation, from planning through to post-launch support.
- Develop and manage delivery plans, timelines, risk registers, and project tracking tools.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams including data migration, system configuration, testing, training, and change management.
- Liaise with software vendors and external consultants to meet delivery milestones.
- Uphold governance standards through consistent stakeholder communication and transparent reporting.
- Manage the transition from legacy systems to the new HR platform with minimal disruption.
- Oversee complex data migration activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee records.
- Conduct data quality reviews and enhance data management protocols.
- Ensure seamless onboarding of employee data including new hires, leavers, contract amendments, and personal updates.
- Maintain reporting capabilities and system functionality throughout the transition.
- Collaborate with People Operations to resolve legacy issues and improve system engagement.
- Build strong relationships across departments and teams to foster collaboration.
- Act as a key liaison between operational staff, leadership, and project teams.
- Coordinate with current and future HRIS providers to ensure continuity and alignment.
- Design and execute comprehensive testing plans, including integration and user acceptance testing.
- Develop test cases covering core HR processes such as recruitment, absence management, and payroll.
- Create and deliver tailored training programmes for HR teams, managers, and staff.
- Produce accessible documentation and support materials to enhance system usability.
- Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption across all locations.
- Provide hands-on support during go-live and stabilisation phases.
- Champion effective use of the new system across all user groups.
- Proven track record of leading HR system implementations, ideally within complex or multi-site environments.
- Strong background in project delivery, with demonstrated success in delivering technology projects on time and within scope.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
- Skilled in analysing and managing large datasets across platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities for data modelling and payroll analysis.
- Solid understanding of system integration, data flows, and interface management.
- Experience with API integrations and connecting HR systems to third-party tools.
