Overview

Are you an experienced HR professional with strong employee relations experience looking for your next challenge?

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business with sites in Scarborough and Hull, who are looking for a hands-on HR/ER Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis for around six months.

You’ll play a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring a positive and compliant HR service across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting managers and employees with HR and employee relations matters, including investigations, misconduct, and disciplinary actions
  • Leading local recruitment activity, managing job adverts, attending events and fairs, sourcing candidates, and building local talent pools with a focus on early careers
  • Handling employee changes and contract management, ensuring personal information is accurate and up to date
  • Sharing HR insights and trends with key stakeholders to help improve service delivery
  • Managing HR compliance such as right-to-work checks, GDPR, and audit requirements
  • Keeping the employee experience at the heart of what you do, finding ways to continually improve HR processes
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident dealing with ER issues and advising managers at all levels. CIPD qualification isn’t essential, what matters most is your hands-on experience, sound judgement, and ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.

Details

This person can be based in either their Scarborough or Hull sites, with some hybrid working available, though you will be expected to be on site when your work requires it, working 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with salary depending on experience.
