Job summary

A leading cable grip supplier in the UK is seeking an HR Administrator to support the HR function. COMPANY BACKGROUND

We serve customers in over 70 countries worldwide from our head office in Lancashire, UK, and bases in Georgia, USA, and Bengaluru, India. Our products are used in safety critical applications for a wide range of markets, with sectors including oil & gas, civil engineering, aerospace, transport, utilities, marine/offshore and the military.

This position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

Join our team and play a key role in keeping our HR function running smoothly. From welcoming new starters to supporting company-wide initiatives, you’ll be at the heart of the employee experience.

You will join a small team and take on a varied and rewarding role, providing comprehensive administrative support across HR and recruitment. You’ll ensure processes are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice.

Your responsibilities will cover the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, HR systems administration, responding to and escalating HR queries, taking accurate meeting notes, onboarding, drafting correspondence, fleet administration, training administration, and supporting HR reporting. You’ll also contribute to a variety of HR projects and initiatives.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • CIPD Qualification: Level 3 qualified, or willing to work towards (company sponsorship available).
  • Administrative Experience: Strong administrative experience, preferably in HR and recruitment.
  • IT Skills: Strong general IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Meetings: Experience of taking accurate meeting notes.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience using HR and recruitment systems, including HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Job Boards, Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS) systems and project management software.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workloads.
  • Empathy: Ability to understand and respond to the needs and concerns of others with sensitivity.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, thoroughness and consistency in all tasks.
  • Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
