About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HR Project Manager to join our growing team in Newcastle

We are looking for someone who is passionate about how technology can be used to streamline HR processes and enhance user experience.

What you'll be doing

As a HR Projects Manager, you will support our HR digital transformation journey by identifying and delivering projects to enhance process efficiency. You will also spearhead our HR data strategy, ensuring robust processes are in place for proactive data management.

  • Project Management: Lead HR projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines, scope, and budgets. Collaborate with stakeholders to maximize technology utilization and drive project success.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve existing HR processes through technology adoption, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Data Management and Governance: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR data strategy, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security across HR systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and other departments
  • Change Management: Ensuring this is embedded throughout the project lifecycle, enabling HR initiatives to land effectively, be adopted by stakeholders, and become sustainably embedded post-implementation.
Who we're looking for
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in project management (Prince2, PMP, or Agile methodologies)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) desirable
  • Proficiency in using technology to identify and implement solutions.
  • Experience in process re-engineering and managing change initiatives.

  • Keen interest in new technologies (e.g., Microsoft CoPilot, ChatGBT).
