We re looking for a proactive HR Officer to join a close-knit HR team in Didcot. This could be the perfect opportunity for a switched on HR grad or HR Administrator looking for a progressive role. In this role, you ll be the go-to person for colleagues across the business, guiding managers, supporting employees and keeping HR operations running smoothly. From recruitment to well-being initiatives, you ll have your hands in every part of the employee journey.

What you ll be doing
  • Leading HR administration and being the first point of contact for all things HR from pay and benefits to policies and procedures
  • Running end-to-end recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring every colleague has a positive experience
  • Supporting employee relations cases (absence, disciplinaries, grievances) with professionalism and empathy
  • Coordinating apprenticeships, internships and training programmes to support future talent
  • Driving well-being initiatives and managing occupational health services
  • Administering HR systems, payroll data, and producing insightful HR reports
  • Supporting culture, engagement, and community initiatives that make us an employer of choice
  • Pitching in with wider office and event support to keep our business running like clockwork
What we re looking for
  • Experience of working within a small HR team with prior experience in a broad HR role, including recruitment and employee relations
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards)
  • Solid knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • A people person who is approachable, trustworthy and able to build strong relationships
  • Organised, detail-driven and solutions-focused with plenty of energy and enthusiasm
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering is a bonus, but not essential
