About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established employer and support their continuing growing business.

We re looking for a proactive HR Officer to play a key role in delivering a full range of HR services from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and training coordination. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about people, processes, and driving positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees
  • Support line managers with performance management processes
  • Handle employee relations, absence management, and policy updates
  • Coordinate training, benefits, and engagement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate HR systems and support payroll administration
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practice
  • Promote employee engagement initiatives
  • Administration of company benefits
  • Participate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is available and accurate
What We re Looking For
  • Previous HR experience, ideally within logistics but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
  • CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards)
  • A proactive, flexible approach and attention to detail
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Proactive and problem‑solving attitude
