I'm partnering with a major UK logistics and distribution business on the search for an experienced HR Manager to lead all things people across a newly established flagship site in the South West.

It's an exciting time to join - the business is going through a period of significant transformation, investment and growth, and this role will play a key part in shaping its people culture and long‑term success.

The opportunity
  • Lead the people strategy for a new site opening, shaping culture, workforce and operational readiness.
  • Manage the transition and transfer of colleagues from existing sites, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Drive engagement, capability and succession planning across a large, fast‑paced workforce.
  • Lead, coach and develop a small HR team.
  • Act as the expert on employee relations, HR policy and employment law.
  • Support projects such as TUPE, restructures, retention and culture initiatives.
  • Champion wellbeing, inclusion and leadership development across the site.
About you
  • Proven experience in an HR management or senior business partnering role within logistics, FMCG or similar operational environments.
  • Strong background in employee relations and change management.
  • Confident leading through transformation and shaping culture in a complex, multi‑site environment.
  • Experienced people leader with credibility, empathy and commercial focus.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
