Job summary

Albert Bartlett in Airdrie, Scotland is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the Chilled operation. You will provide hands-on HR support, shaping a positive workplace culture, and ensuring HR best practice is embedded across the site.

Reporting to the senior HR leadership team, you will coach managers, manage employee relations, drive recruitment, workforce planning and change initiatives, and ensure compliance with UK employment law.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification as a minimum (Level 7 advantageous).
• Proven experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
• Previous HR experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex casework.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, commercially minded and collaborative approach.
• Experience leading HR projects and change initiatives.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing or chilled production operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational managers to provide expert HR advice and guidance.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of two HR Advisors, providing guidance, support and direction to ensure the delivery of a high-quality HR service across the Chilled operation.
• Lead and support employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management cases.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and support organisational change projects.
• Coach and develop managers in people management best practice.
• Support workforce planning, talent management and succession planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR procedures.
• Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to support business decision‑making.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives across the Chilled operation.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement activities.

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday- Hours between 8AM-5PM- Onsite

About the Role
