HR/ People Business Partner - Civil Construction

Fixed Term Contract for 6 months with a view to switch Permanent (annual salary)

Based in Potters Bar

Based 4 Days in Potters Bar and 1 - day WFH

Duties

We are seeking a highly experienced People Business Partner, who will work closely with operational and leadership teams to provide expert guidance, support employee engagement, and improvement across the employee life-cycle. This is a hands‑on, solutions‑focused role that requires both tactical thinking and operational delivery. You'll be instrumental in managing employee relations, supporting talent development, and embedding our values throughout the business. You will be travelling 2x per month to Barking or other UK sites.

  • Someone with 3-5 year's experience but someone who can progress
  • Proven experience in a People Business Partner, Advisor, or Generalist Role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment Law and best practice approaches
  • Demonstrated Success in managing employee relations from start to finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgement, high levels of discretion, and a proactive mindset
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it) or equivalent experience
