The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional with experience in manufacturing or industrial settings. The HR Manager will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service – from policy development and employee relations to benefits design and workforce planning.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the business has effective HR structures in place to support a motivated and high‑performing workforce, while aligning HR strategy with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks that reflect best practice and legal compliance
• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and recruitment
• Review, improve, and manage employee benefits, reward, and recognition initiatives
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention
• Support training and development initiatives to upskill and engage employees
• Promote a positive company culture and ensure fair, consistent HR practices across the organisation
• Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports to support data‑driven decision‑making
• Ensure compliance with employment law, health & safety, and company policies

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as a HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor within a manufacturing or similar fast‑paced environment
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Confident in developing and implementing HR policies and employee benefits
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) preferred
• Proactive, organised, and able to balance operational and strategic HR responsibilities
