HR Manager | South West | Up to £62,000 + Bonus + Benefits

I'm supporting a well-established, people-focused organisation as they look to appoint an experienced HR Manager to lead the people agenda across a key site in the South West.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join at a pivotal time, with growth, change and investment happening across the wider business. The role will play a central part in shaping culture, capability and engagement on site.

A key requirement for this role is strong union experience - you'll have confidence working in a unionised environment, building constructive relationships and navigating negotiation and consultation with credibility and balance. Please do not apply if you don't have union experience.

The Opportunity
  • Lead the HR agenda day-to-day, ensuring a proactive, people-first approach
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and leaders across the operation
  • Shape and drive engagement, capability and wellbeing across a diverse workforce
  • Lead on complex employee relations and provide expert guidance to managers
  • Support change programmes, cultural development and workforce planning
  • Champion leadership development, learning and talent progression
  • Coach and develop a small HR team
About You
  • Proven HR management / senior HRBP experience in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Strong union and ER background, with experience managing complex cases and negotiations
  • Confident influencing senior leaders and acting as a trusted partner

  • Comfortable leading through change, ambiguity and pace
  • Empathetic, resilient and people-led, with a hands-on approach when needed
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent) preferred
