HR Learning and Development Learning Coach
Manchester, hybrid with some home working as well as face‑to‑face centre visits to learners in their workplaces.
Permanent, full‑time, Monday to Friday. Salary £37,210 (incl car allowance), 34‑day holiday (incl bank holidays) rising to 43 after 5 years, plus support, CPD, induction, IT kit, eye tests, long service rewards, wellbeing initiatives, birthday off, progression opportunities and much more.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Guiding and inspiring apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to succeed in HR and L&D roles.
- Delivering engaging one‑to‑one coaching sessions, both remotely and face‑to‑face.
- Delivering knowledge‑based webinars to support learning and development.
- Marking diploma assignments and apprenticeship tasks to ensure quality and progress.
- Observing practice and providing meaningful feedback to support growth and development.
- Being a key part of a supportive, passionate team even while working remotely.
- Engage the learners’ Line Manager, making clear their responsibilities and working collaboratively to provide support, guidance and opportunities for learning.
- Plant the endpoint assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan.
- Inspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers, adapting to their needs.
- Motivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
- Deliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable) to support the learners’ achievement and progress in these areas.
- Ensure marking and feedback to the learner is accurate and supports their development.
- Work closely with IQAs on best practice, development needs and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with employers, ensuring progression and new leads are generated.
- Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPIs.
- Contribute to the production of high‑quality learning materials.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in HR, Learning & Development, or People Management.
- A genuine passion for developing others.
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible, can‑do attitude.
- Confidence in managing a busy and varied workload.
- Ability to deliver webinars and assess written assignments effectively.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential: Experience in HR or L&D.
Hold a Level 5 CIPD People Professional qualification or be willing to work towards one.
Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills and experience of coaching to support learning.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
Desirable
- TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33 Assessor Qualification.
- Coaching qualification.
- Knowledge of Government funded training.
