Job description

What we are looking for:
Here at Escape Velocity, we are seeking an HR Generalist to join our Operations team. Working closely with the Director of HR & Leadership, this role will provide essential administrative support to our team.

You will help organize our HR department, ensure smooth processes, and foster rapport with employees. Key focus areas include onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll processing, reporting, handling employee inquiries, and supporting employee initiatives. You will collaborate with others to improve the employee experience continually.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with HR policies, processes, and procedures; recommend improvements to enhance employee satisfaction
  • Manage onboarding for new hires, including background checks, orientation, and follow-ups
  • Support employee transfers, relocations, and related processes
  • Ensure timely processing and filing of all employment paperwork
  • Utilize HRIS platforms for job changes and updates
  • Conduct bi-monthly timecard audits and coordinate payroll
  • Generate reports such as census, PTO, and ad-hoc requests
  • Support employee programs through research, vendor coordination, and communication
  • Handle daily internal and external correspondence professionally
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues appropriately
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
