A leading consultancy firm in Reading is seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Manager to manage HR processes and compliance for the UK and Netherlands. This role offers a mix of strategic and operational HR work, focusing on recruitment and employee engagement. Candidates should be CIPD Level 5 qualified or possess equivalent experience, with a solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices. Competitive salary of c£45,000 with excellent benefits is offered.

This SME global consultancy operates across four global regions with a head office in the United States. The Reading office is home to around 40 employees, with additional remote staff in the Europe. They cultivate a dynamic work environment where employee well-being are priorities.
This is a standalone HR role supporting both the UK and Netherlands teams, reporting to the Regional Director, EMEA. As the primary HR presence in the region, you’ll manage all local HR processes, ensure compliance with UK and act as the main liaison between the European offices and global HR. This varied role offers scope to engage with both strategic and operational HR activities, with a strong focus on recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement. This role could be a permanent opportunity, temp to perm, or a 12 month FTC, whichever suits the ideal candidate best.
You will be CIPD Level 5 qualified or possess equivalent experience, with a strong background in HR generalist roles across the UK and ideally Europe. You’ll bring a proactive and hands-on approach, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support a culturally diverse team. A solid understanding of employment law, GDPR, and immigration requirements is essential, along with the confidence to operate autonomously and advise managers with clarity and credibility.
