Job Title: Human Resources Employee Relations Specialist (Contract)
Location: Bradford
Contract Duration: Immediate start - End of March
Contract Type: Fixed-term / Contract

Role Overview

The Human Resources Employee Relations Specialist will support local HR operations with a strong focus on employee relations case management, investigations, policy compliance, and stakeholder guidance. The role is ideal for someone who can quickly integrate, operate independently, and provide expert ER support during a high-volume period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve a range of employee relations matters including performance, conduct, attendance, and grievance issues.
  • Conduct thorough, impartial investigations, ensuring documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with company policy and employment law.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on ER issues, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and process updates.
  • Work closely with site leadership teams to ensure consistent application of HR practices.
  • Advise on absence management, return-to-work processes, and reasonable adjustments.
  • Partner with HR colleagues on employee engagement, culture initiatives, and workforce planning activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting or analytics related to ER trends.
  • Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in all personnel matters.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on Employee Relations.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex ER cases end-to-end.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred; Level 7 desirable or relevant work experience.
