Job summary

People Puzzles, a leading fractional HR consultancy, seeks an experienced HR Director or Senior HR Consultant to join its London-based network. You will help SME clients unlock potential, design and implement people strategies, and collaborate with a community of like-minded professionals to drive business transformation.

You’ll work on complex strategic projects, influence at board level, and enjoy flexible, largely on-site client work with scope for remote engagements within the network.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic and operational HR expertise with a track record of delivering business-aligned people strategies.
• Experience partnering with Boards and senior executives to shape company direction and HR architecture.
• Ability to spot opportunities, influence at all levels, and translate people initiatives into commercial outcomes.
• Autonomous, tech-savvy, and capable of working across SME clients with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with client business goals.
• Partner with SME leaders and a network of People Directors to drive transformation.
• Collaborate with the Board and Senior Executives to shape workforce plans and culture changes.

• Proven experience inputting into the strategic direction of the business & partnering with the Board & Senior Executive team
• Business consultancy skills: ability to spot opportunities and influence at all levels
• Autonomous, tech-savvy and organised - you genuinely love and seek out new ways to work and embrace technology
• Commercial - you are a business person "who does HR". You see the big picture
• Pragmatic, you work strategically but are happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in

There is some scope for client work to be remote, although most client work is onsite so interested applicants will need to be within easy commute of all the areas listed above.
