Job description

We are looking for an HR Coordinator (Research Staff and Visitors) who will be based within the HR Office (Research Staff and Visitors) at the Department's site in Trumpington Street.

You will join the existing team to support the delivery of contract and HR services for Contract Research Staff and Visitors. You will be responsible for the administration associated with the employment of over 350 contract research staff in the Department of Engineering. This includes advertising posts, organising visas and issuing offers of employment, all of which require a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will also be the first point of contact for employment-related queries from Contract Research Staff.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of contract and HR services for Contract Research Staff and Visitors.
  • Administer employment of over 350 contract research staff in the Department of Engineering.
  • Advertise posts, organise visas and issue offers of employment with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employment-related queries from Contract Research Staff.
Qualifications
  • Education at least HND/HNC level or equivalent level 4/5 vocational qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working administratively in an HR area.
  • Experience handling multiple processes and working to tight regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential material with discretion.
