A major water utility company is seeking an HR Coordinator. In this role, you will support HR administration, handle confidential information, and ensure compliance with policies. Candidates should have extensive HR experience and strong communication skills. This position offers a hybrid working model based in Reading with an hourly pay rate of £14.10.

Job description

This role involves administrative HR activities, advice and guidance. People services hold responsibility for managing HR policy, standards & guidance, processes, service improvement, systems and reporting and provides expert advice and administrative services to employees and line managers in the business. You will need to be flexible, work closely with your team and manage your time effectively. Being part of the People Services team allows you to develop a good level of experience covering a broad range of HR activities.

What you’ll be doing as a HR Coordinator
  • Support HR Administration across the People Team
  • Prioritise and complete incoming work, handling highly confidential information with integrity
  • Comply with relevant policies and procedures and be able to advise on these
  • Process and resolve cases within the agreed Service Level Agreement
  • Collaborate with the wider team to support operational and business needs
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the team
  • Liaise with Line managers, the IT Service Desk and the wider business
  • Deal effectively and efficiently with colleagues, demonstrating good customer service skills
  • Take ownership for your workload and own queries/cases through to resolution. If unable to resolve, triage, escalate and communicate effectively with all involved
  • Participate in cross-skilling opportunities to support other areas of the business
What you should bring to the role
  • Extensive experience of relevant HR Work
  • Ability to use IT confidently and learn new systems efficiently and effectively
  • Good communication skills demonstrating active listening and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to keep data accurate and pay attention to detail, especially when it comes to people’s personal data
  • Comfortable in interpreting information in drafting reports to clearly present data/insight
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) or equivalent professional qualification and/or HR knowledge is desirable
