Job summary

EKFB is seeking a HR Coordinator to join the People team with regular on-site presence at sites in Aylesbury and at the Head Office in Milton Keynes. You will support HR across projects, handling onboarding, employee records, reporting and HR coordination, working with HR Business Partners, project teams and site managers.

You will assist with onboarding of new starters, inductions, compliance checks, and support employee relations activities such as meetings and documentation.

About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

HR Coordinator Role

We are currently looking for a HR Coordinator to join our People team. This role will require a regular on-site presence at our sites in Aylesbury and the surrounding area, as well as our Head Office in Milton Keynes.

In this role, you will be involved in supporting HR team across EKFB projects, providing administrative support across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, employee records, reporting and HR coordination. You will be working closely with HR Business Partners, project teams and site managers and assist in delivering HR support to operational teams across multiple locations.

This role will require you to maintain accurate employee data, support recruitment coordination, and assist with onboarding new starters, including inductions and compliance checks. You will support employee relations activities, including coordinating meetings, preparing documentation and taking notes. Experience supporting employee relations cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management would be desirable.

In addition, you will assist with HR reporting and data management, ensuring information is accurate and up to date within HR systems. You will also support training coordination, absence tracking and general HR queries from employees and managers. Working with wider project teams, you will help ensure HR processes are delivered consistently across the project.

About You
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous HR experience, including employee relations.
  • Previous Workday experience essential.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and HR systems.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with site teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) desirable.
  • Driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
