Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this well respected and growing HR consultancy based in Swindon to recruit an experienced, proactive and commercially orientated externally focused HR Consultant on a permanent basis. The role is site based in Swindon (with parking) with some travel to London to suit client requirements.

Working as a trusted Advisor / Consultant to a varied portfolio of clients, you will be assisting clients on site with a wide range of activities including recruitment / on-boarding, employee relations issues, redundancy programmes, settlement agreements and TUPE matters as well as undertaking client project work as required.

What you'll be doing / key activities:
HR Service Delivery:
  • Assisting clients on site with a range of activities including redundancy programmes, employee relations issues and TUPE matters
  • Supporting the HR advice line service, ensuring accurate, timely and commercial advice support for clients
  • Providing advice to clients on all aspects of HR, particularly employee relations matters, over the telephone and via email
  • Chairing or supporting formal meetings on behalf of clients
  • Delivering HR training to clients
  • Creating, updating, and checking client policies, procedures, and handbooks to ensure compliance with employment law and good HR practice
  • Updating the monthly billing spreadsheet to ensure the timely invoicing of additional work undertaken for clients
  • Compliance with company governance procedures
  • Other duties as per client and requirements
  • Recruitment support for clients, liaising with the Recruitment Specialist where necessary
  • Drafting detailed reports for clients
  • Providing additional day support to clients
  • Creating and issuing documents that support the specialist advice provided to clients
Business Relations and Development:
  • Arranging and attending regular review meetings with clients
  • Identifying new business opportunities with existing clients (such as recruitment, additional project or site work, pulse, and staff surveys)
  • Attending new client meetings and supporting the new client onboarding process
Additional:
  • Providing mentoring support to Trainees / HR Advisors
  • Conducting regular updates on WIP with the Managing Directors
  • Ensuring advice provided to Clients is legally compliant and to internal standards
  • Being a point of contact for questions from the team
What we're looking for / about you:
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Supervision experience
  • Excellent and up to date UK employment law knowledge
  • Experience in managing a range of complex ER casework incorporating settlement agreements
  • TUPE experience
  • Experience in leading formal processes, including grievances, disciplinaries and appeals
  • HR experience over various business sectors is desirable
  • Commercially aware of the needs of small businesses
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise own workload to meet targets and deadlines
  • Good MS Office skills - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Happy to travel to client sites (London) on occasion / when and where applicable
