Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a HR Change Consultant to work within the West Yorkshire Police Force.

Location: Wakefield
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £40,383 - £42,612 per annum
Working Pattern: Full-Time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, Hybrid with 3 days per week in the office
Driving Required: Yes, ability to travel round the West Yorkshire to meet customer need on occasions

About the Role

As an HR Change Consultant, you will play a vital role in leading strategic HR change initiatives that support organisational transformation. If you're passionate about employee relations and have a flair for managing complex projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex HR change projects, including organisational restructuring and transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, fostering engagement for change.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies, communication plans, and risk mitigation approaches.
  • Support the redesign of organisational structures while ensuring seamless integration with job evaluation processes.
  • Provide expert advice on employment law matters, including redundancy, redeployment, and employee transitions.
  • Coach and support leaders in managing change, helping to maintain engagement and morale.
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures related to organisational change.
About You
  • CIPD qualified to Level 5 or working towards it, or possess equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Previous experience in change management with a solid understanding of principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, especially working with Trade Unions and Staff Associations.
  • The ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with wider organisational goals (desirable).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and create buy-in.
  • A good understanding of employment law and police regulations, particularly related to organisational change, redundancy, and employee transitions.
