HR Category Manager - Procurement

London | £60,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Package

A leading energy organisation is looking for an experienced HR Category Manager to join its growing procurement team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional to take ownership of a key spend area within one of the UK's most exciting and forward‑thinking companies.

The role will sit within a Greenfield procurement function that looks to play a central role in enabling the organisation's ambitious growth plans. The HR Category Manager will lead all procurement activity across HR and people‑related services, including recruitment, learning and development, contingent labour and employee benefits.

This is a highly visible position, offering the chance to shape category direction, build strategic supplier partnerships and deliver long‑term value through innovative procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and manage the procurement category strategy for HR and people services
  • Create and refine a clear category hierarchy, ensuring alignment with broader procurement frameworks and business objectives
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimise supplier performance and ensure commercial best practice
  • Lead all procurement processes including sourcing, tendering, negotiation and contract management
  • Champion best‑in‑class procurement governance, driving consistency and continuous improvement
