Fig Tree HR Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a HR Business Partner Consultant to lead a portfolio of client relationships, becoming their go-to advisor for all HR matters with a commercial mindset. You'll work alongside a Senior HR Advisor and the wider team to tackle daily people issues and complex employee relations.

The role covers organisational change and longer-term people priorities, with flexible full- or part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Significant HR generalist experience across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience as Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager / HRBP or broad HR remit.
• Strong employment law knowledge with pragmatic advice.
• Experience handling complex employee relations matters.
• Experience leading restructures or TUPE projects.
• Ability to use people metrics to support decisions.
• Clear, jargon-free communication with clients.
• Coaching approach to risk assessment and options.

At Fig Tree HR, we're passionate about helping businesses navigate all things people, and we're looking for a HR Business Partner Consultant to join our friendly, growing team in Cardiff.

What's the role?

As our HR Business Partner Consultant, you'll take the lead on a portfolio of client relationships, becoming their go-to person for all things HR with a commercial mindset. Working alongside a Senior HR Advisor and the wider team, you'll help clients tackle everything from day-to-day people issues and complex employee relations matters through to organisational change and longer-term people priorities.

What you’ll need:

• Significant HR generalist experience across the employee lifecycle.
• Previous experience operating successfully in a Senior HR Advisor, HR Manager or HR Business Partner role, or as a HR Advisor who has a broad remit of complex & commercial HR activity.
• Strong employment law knowledge and the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially balanced advice.
• Experience in advising on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, conduct, capability and absence cases.
• Experience leading/supporting restructure, redundancy or TUPE projects.
• Experience developing and reviewing HR documentation & resources.
• Experience using insights or people metrics to support decision-making.
• Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain HR and employment law matters in a practical, clear and jargon-free way.
• Have a coaching approach to helping clients understand risks, options and solutions.
• Understand the challenges faced by small and growing businesses.

• £43,000pa (pro rata for p/t working)
• Working 1 day each week at our Cardiff office balanced with WFH.
