What You'll Be Doing
Strategic People Leadership
- Act as a coach and consultant to senior leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals.
- Design and implement organisation-wide initiatives across the full employee lifecycle - Attract, Retain, Develop, Inspire, Perform.
- Lead key strategic projects that drive business performance and create a thriving, engaged workforce.
Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy
- Deliver insights and guidance on workforce planning to ensure the right skills are in the right place, at the right time - now and for the future.
- Shape talent acquisition and retention strategies to build a future‑ready workforce.
- Lead succession planning, identifying and developing top talent while proactively managing potential talent risks.
Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing
- Partner with the Head of Internal Comms & Engagement to ensure clarity and meaning across all people strategies and plans.
- Champion a culture of diversity, inclusion, psychological safety, and wellbeing.
- Support managers to create exceptional employee experiences and drive meaningful engagement.
- Cascade and embed the health and wellbeing strategy, empowering managers to support their teams.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Harness people data and analytics to identify trends, assess workforce performance, and make informed, strategic decisions.
- Use insights to drive action and deliver measurable improvements across the organisation.
⚙️ Organisational Effectiveness & Growth
- Partner with leaders to evaluate and enhance organisational structures, job design, and role clarity.
- Play a key role in business growth, including bids, contract management, TUPE processes, and transformation initiatives.
- Support complex M&A activity to ensure seamless integration and team success.
Collaboration & Specialist Partnership
- Work closely with Reward, ER, and other specialist teams to ensure seamless delivery of the wider people strategy.
- Partner with the Reward team to design and implement competitive reward strategies aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with the ER team to manage high-risk employee relations cases effectively.
- Contribute to people governance, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance across the function.
