Job summary

A recruitment agency in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a local council on an initial 6-month temporary contract. Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join Wakefield Council on an iniital 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance across a range of employee relations matters

  • Partner with senior managers to support organisational change, restructures and workforce planning

  • Support managers with complex casework including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and capability issues

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practice

  • Analyse workforce data and provide insight to inform decision-making

  • Promote positive employee relations and support wellbeing and engagement initiatives

  • Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and local authority requirements

About You
  • Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice

  • Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment is highly desirable

  • CIPD Qualified
