A local government council is looking for a Business Partner to shape workforce strategies and enhance team performance. This role requires expertise in change management and coaching, aiming to create effective initiatives within the council. The candidate will enjoy a collaborative environment with flexible working options and a competitive salary package, ensuring work-life balance.
We are seeking a Business Partner ready to make a real difference in how our Council works. In this role, you’ll spend your days shaping the way teams operate, embedding effective people practices, and turning workforce strategies into tangible results. You’ll collaborate with managers and directorates, providing expert guidance, insights, and solutions that help teams perform at their best. One day, you might be leading a major organisational change project, coaching leaders to grow their confidence and capability, and tackling a complex employment case. Next, you could support professional development across people teams, share knowledge, or drive continuous improvement initiatives that make a real impact on how we work.
Working closely with the Strategic OD Partner, you will take ownership of people‑focused initiatives that align with our workforce priorities, delivering benefits not only for employees but also for the organisation and the wider community. This is a role for someone who thrives on challenge, loves solving problems, and wants to shape the future of our Council.
Our vision is to make a difference to our communities and our environment and we would love you to join us in our mission! All of our employees, whatever their job, contribute greatly to delivering services to local people - either directly, or by supporting colleagues. We celebrate diversity and are continuously striving for our residents to enjoy fulfilling, prosperous and healthy lives.
We offer a supportive place to grow and develop your career with a real opportunity for your input to be valued and heard. Ambition and innovation will be required now more than ever and you will join a friendly and collaborative environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
