Job summary

A leading logistics provider is seeking an HR Business Partner in the Midlands and North West to align HR initiatives with business strategies. The successful candidate will engage with senior leadership, support employee satisfaction and manage key HR processes, including ER management. A strong background in HR within logistics is preferred. This full-time role includes a competitive salary and additional benefits, such as a discretionary bonus and private medical insurance.

HR Business Partner

Grade: RCS K

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Location: Midlands and North West (B92 9EP)

Site-based: 5 days a week (Occasional work from home)

We work a 37.5-hour week over 5 days. The role has a company-based bonus of 11.25% in addition that we have many benefits, including a holiday purchase scheme, a good pension scheme and many discounts through our partnerships

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will support a fantastic team of colleagues – Circa 500

  • Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites.
  • Support the ER agenda and lead/support relationships and key processes with unions at sites.
  • Deploy the Business HR Priorities, as directed e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, and T&C's standardisation.
  • Provide HR support to start-ups and business wins, losses and transfers.
  • Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
  • Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements.
  • Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.

  • Previous HR experience within a logistics business
  • Strong ER case management (Essential)
  • Union experience advantageous
  • A CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Ability to provide project management support
  • Previous business change experience - TUPE, redundancies, restructures, challenges, Employee satisfaction and engagement
