Job description

Our Team is looking to welcome a HR Business Partner within our Confectionery HR team based at our Halifax factory. This important position will also play an integral part of the Factory Leadership Team. The main purpose of this role is to work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders, and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of Nestle UK&I. Operating as the HR expert, to advise, guide and support Leaders by developing and delivering the people strategy for the business. Nestlé Halifax Factory in West Yorkshire is the home of the iconic confectionary brand Quality Street amongst several other well-known brands such as Rolo, Munchies, Matchmakers and of course After Eight. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.

Your Impact!
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, leadership team and Trade Union(s).
  • Lead positive employee relations strategy in a unionised environment to ensure a progressive employee relations climate.
  • Promote and foster a culture and environment that is open, productive, empowering, safe and fair.
  • Coach factory leadership teams, managers, and employees to behave and make decisions that are in line with the Nestle values and competencies and the Nestle Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure compliance in HR.
  • Be the gateway for the business into the HR function to ensure Line Managers and Employees understand the HR model and can quickly and efficiently access solutions.
  • Collaborate and provide business insight to ensure initiatives and projects are designed and implemented that support business peoples' plans.
  • Lead and Deliver change management programs designed to enhance the landscape of the local factory success and help build a sustainable future.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working at senior level with Trade Unions at local and national level in a progressive employee relations climate.
  • Previous experience working in a FMCG or similar large/complex organisations who operate within a matrix structure.
  • Experience of working within a large, fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience coaching, consulting and advising employees and HR & business stakeholders and experience managing conflict resolution in the workplace.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, and present findings with conclusions, responses, and recommendations to HR and business leaders.
  • Acts with sense of urgency, a bias for action, and with a desire to thrive in a dynamically growing environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion.
  • Technically proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
