Role Overview

GSK are looking for an HR Business Partner to join the team at GSK HQ in London. Reporting to the HR Change Programme Lead, this role is a critical partner in enabling the successful delivery of strategic transformation initiative across the R&D organisation. The HR Business Partner will work closely with senior business and HR leaders/partners to deliver key organisational change initiative across the R&D function. The HR Business Partner will provide strategic people advice, support the design, delivery and execution of key activities related to the change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior business leaders and HR leaders/partners to successfully deliver the change project that support R&D's long-term objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on organisational design, restructuring, workforce planning, consultation, and change management to ensure effective and compliant delivery of a critical change programme.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive people strategies, stakeholder engagement approaches, and communication plans.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, offering insights and guidance on restructuring best practice and change management strategies.
  • Develop pragmatic solutions to complex HR queries by interpreting local legislation, HR policies and processes specifically in terms of consultation requirements and change governance.
  • Utilize digital, data, and analytics tools to gain insights, inform people strategy execution, and drive leadership and organisational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence, Employee Relations, Talent, Reward, and People Services teams to deliver integrated people solutions to support the change.
  • Partner with business and HR leaders to ensure effective change management strategies are in place, minimizing disruption and supporting people through transitions.
  • Drive programme governance, monitor delivery against milestones, and provide clear reporting and insights to support decision making.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive HR Business Partnering experience, including significant experience supporting organisational transformation and business change within the UK.
  • Significant experience of planning and delivering large scale organisational change projects.
  • Proven track record of leading large scale restructuring, organisational design, and workforce transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior leaders, building credibility and trust to drive strategic people outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in organisational change, workforce transformation, employment legislation, and HR governance frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of organisational effectiveness, change leadership, employee consultation, and employment legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including the ability to navigate highly sensitive and complex situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in programme and project leadership, ensuring successful delivery of transformation objectives against agreed outcomes and timelines.
  • Strong analytical and digital capability, including the use of HR systems and workforce analytics.
  • (Preferred) Degree-level qualification and/or relevant professional HR accreditation (e.g. CIPD).
