Job summary

A local government authority in Bridgend is seeking an HR Business Partner to deliver high-quality HR support services. You will coach Headteachers and managers, provide specialist advice on employee matters, and ensure compliance with service level agreements. The ideal candidate should have a CIPD qualification and experience in a busy HR environment. Welsh language skills are required for customer interaction. This position follows a hybrid working policy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in coaching and supporting managers.
  • Ability to communicate in Welsh is required.

We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join an established team providing high-quality support services across Bridgend County Borough.

Coaching Headteachers or managers to enable them to be effective people managers, you will also provide advice and guidance on matters such as attendance, employee performance, disciplinary, and organisational change.

CIPD qualified or able to demonstrate considerable relevant experience, you will have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills. Experience of supporting managers to find innovative solutions is essential. You will need to evidence proven professional HR generalist experience in a busy, multi-disciplinary HR environment.

On this occasion, the successful candidate will hold a full allocation of schools across the borough ensuring that service level agreement requirements of in-person and on-site attendance are met.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
