Overview

We are seeking a strategic and proactive HR Business Partner to join our People and Purpose team. This role is pivotal in supporting departments across the College to deliver their objectives through effective people management and HR practices. You'll work closely with managers to understand their business needs, provide expert HR guidance, and lead on key areas such as performance management, employee relations, and organisational change. You'll also contribute to College wide HR projects and initiatives that promote a culture of openness, inclusion, and excellence.

A successful candidate will:

  • Be a Chartered Member of the CIPD (or working towards).
  • Have strong experience in HR advisory or business partnering roles, ideally within education, local government, or unionised environments.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of employment law, safeguarding, and equality and diversity legislation.
  • Be confident in managing complex employee relations cases including sickness, absence, grievance, and disciplinary.
  • Possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be comfortable working across multiple campuses and liaising with senior stakeholders.
