Job summary

A leading services organization in Redcar is seeking an organized and customer-focused HR Assistant to join their People Services team. You will be the first point of contact for HR queries, supporting various employee lifecycle activities such as recruitment, onboarding, and payroll management. The ideal candidate should have experience in a busy office environment and strong skills in organization and communication. Qualifications

  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, accurate first‑line HR support to employees and managers.
  • Deliver admin support across recruitment, onboarding, contracts, payroll changes and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities and ensure a smooth new starter experience.
  • Update HR systems, maintain data accuracy and produce reports.
  • Manage shared inboxes and support HR projects and process improvements.
