Job description

We are working with an established and expanding Construction business, who have an exciting new opportunity for a HR Assistant to join their existing HR function. This is a new role for the business, due to their continued levels of growth.

The company are based near Wigan, and specialise in providing energy efficiency upgrades (such as Solar Panels, Insulation etc.) to homes across the country.

As a HR Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including advertising, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and issuing contracts of employment
  • Undertake first-stage telephone interviews, providing candidates with relevant information regarding the role and recruitment process
  • Undertake all pre-employment checks
  • Managing candidate engagement to ensure a positive experience
  • Undertake check-ins with recent new starters, to ensure any concerns can be addressed quickly
  • Monitoring of the probationary review process, issuing documentation to Line Managers, and following up with employees as required.
  • Coordinating the leaver process and conducting exit interviews
  • Act as a first point of contact for any HR related queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR matters
Requirements
  • CIPD Level 3
  • Demonstrate knowledge of employment law and best practice
  • Minimum one year working as a HR Advisor and some experience or involvement in Recruitment would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary £28,000 + annual bonus and additional benefits
