A local council in West Midlands is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will support various activities related to recruitment, onboarding, and payroll management. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience in a busy office environment, and proficiency in MS Office. This position also offers opportunities for training and development while working in a supportive team environment.

Permanent - £15,458.38 - £16,768.65 (FTE £28,598 - £31,022) per annum
Are you a motivated, strong administrator looking for an exciting new opportunity? Do you want to work within a supportive and friendly team in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment with an opportunity to develop your recruitment and payroll knowledge? We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Assistant with strong organisational skills and attention to detail to join our team. The role will be part‑time (20 hours per week) to be worked over 3 or 4 days per week, including Mondays and Fridays.
In this role you’ll support a whole range of activities such as recruitment and onboarding, monthly payroll inputting (including new starters), learning and development and much more! As we offer a shared service with Malvern Hills District Council, this is a great opportunity to work across two forward‑thinking and community‑focused councils.
