A local government council in the UK is seeking an HR Administrator to join their supportive team. In this hybrid role, you will provide HR administration services and support the employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit. Are you organised, detail‑oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy and supportive HR team at Lancaster City Council as an HR Administrator.
In this pivotal role, you will provide a comprehensive HR administration service to managers and staff across the Council. As the first point of contact for internal and external HR enquiries, you’ll be involved in the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to leavers and everything in between.
You’ll need excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, and the ability to follow user guides and work independently. While previous HR administration experience is an advantage, we’re more interested in your ability to demonstrate the skills and attitude needed to thrive in this role.
This is a hybrid role, combining on‑site attendance with remote working. Ability to travel to locations, as the job will provide support at multiple council sites around the district, and you will travel frequently between locations.
