KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and a founding member of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust (WMAT). The school has a comprehensive intake and a co‑educational sixth form. We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond. We achieve excellent academic and pastoral outcomes for students within a culture of care, concern and well‑being for both students and staff.

The post is available as a permanent, full‑time, term‑time only position plus two weeks basis, working 37 hours per week and is available immediately.

Position Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional individual to join the team at Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form as we are looking to appoint an HR and Data Protection Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively supporting the HR and data management of the school to ensure it is compliant with employment law requirements, GDPR and KNGS policies and procedures. Supporting whole‑school administration and organisation of events will be required, alongside being on the First Aid rota; training for this will be provided.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong track record working within administration preferably in a school or public sector setting although this is not an essential criterion. They should be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload efficiently.

Experience handling confidential information is important, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and preferably SIMS or HR/payroll databases, is desirable. The role also requires a discreet and professional approach, with a commitment to safeguarding, data protection, and providing high‑quality support across the school and Trust.
