Overview

HR Advisor needed in Truro. The rate is £16.52ph PAYE. This is a temporary position. Reference number: 5278551.

Role

HR Advisor (Employee Relations) – Until end of March 2026.

About the role

Contributing to the management of our workforce, our Employee Relations Team provide a valued HR service for managers and leaders in dealing with employment-related casework, enabling the best management practices through a fair and balanced approach to employment matters. Due to an increase in work demands, we are looking to engage temporary additional workforce supporting the management of complex employment casework.

Key activities involve supporting and advising on employment matters, advising on a varied caseload across the full range of employment processes, and contributing to employment policy and practice developments. The role will require diligence and close interpretation of process, legislation, guidance and best practice in employment processes – good experience of employment casework is essential. The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues is a key feature to the success of the role, holding professional and trusted relationships with managers, specialists and employee representatives.

In order to be successful in this assignment, you will need to be highly self-motivated and accustomed to working proactively and autonomously. You will demonstrate the following:

  • Analytical skills including the ability to critically analyse information.
  • A collaborative, team-working ethic with the ability to build good and trusted relationships with colleagues.
