Job description

HR Advisor / HR Officer (6-Month Temporary Contract) Wednesbury
£30,000 – £35,000 per annum (pro rata)
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor or HR Officer to join a busy HR team on a temporary basis for approximately 6 months. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and support on a range of employee relations matters
  • Support and manage aspects of the recruitment process including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Lead or assist with performance management processes
  • Monitor and manage absence, including return-to-work interviews and supporting absence reviews
  • Deliver effective induction programmes for new starters
  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support including maintaining employee records and producing documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment legislation
  • Work closely with managers to support them in implementing HR processes and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Officer role
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (minimum) is essential
  • Confident handling employee relations matters and providing HR guidance
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Contract details:
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Contract length: 6 months (with potential for extension)
  • Working hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
