A public health service organization in Kilmarnock is seeking a part-time HR Advisor to provide expert support on medical workforce conditions and oversee a small team. The ideal candidate will possess a degree and substantial HR experience, along with knowledge of NHS policies and employment law. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to compliance and procedural improvements within the medical staffing team. Salary ranges from £41,608 to £50,702 per annum, pro-rata.

Band 6 (£41,608 to £50,702 per annum) pro‑rata
Location: People Safety & Culture Directorate, Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse (office based)
Contract Type: Fixed term for 6 months
Hours: Part‑time 29.6 hours per week
Position: We are looking for an HR Advisor to provide expert advice and support on medical and dental terms and conditions, employment relations, and workforce projects.
You’ll work closely with managers and staff, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation, and play a key role in implementing new contracts and supporting national initiatives. You’ll also supervise a small team and deputise for the HR Manager – Medical Workforce when required. This is an exciting time to join our medical staffing team as we undertake a review of our business processes and procedures to make sure these best meet the needs of the organisation.
You’ll be educated to degree level (or equivalent) along with significant HR experience and be a CIPD member. You’ll have knowledge of employment law, NHS workforce structures, and ideally medical staffing policies, and complement this with excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
