Job description

We’re looking for someone who is an employee relations expert to join our friendly ER team as part of our centralised HR Helpline Team. Based at our head office in Bradford, this role is all about offering clear, confident, and caring HR support to our store managers and colleagues across the UK. From absence management and performance issues to disciplinary matters and investigations, you’ll be on hand to provide guidance and support, over the phone, video calls and via email, on all things people related.

You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week working shifts from 10:00 - 15:00, and due to our retail operation being 7 days per week, you will need to support weekends, covering 1 in 4.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Being a key point of contact on our central people helpline
  • Provide timely, accurate advice on HR policies and processes
  • Support and lead remote investigations in line with company procedure
  • Work closely with store and area managers to resolve complex ER cases
  • Keep clear and detailed records of all advice given and actions taken
  • Spot trends and elevate risks to help drive improvements across the business
About you

You’ll be a strong communicator who thrives in a fast paced environment and is confident handling sensitive matters with care and clarity, often over the phone.
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has solid HR and ER experience, ideally in a multi-site or retail environment
  • Is confident advising on a wide range of people issues
  • Is comfortable managing cases from start to finish
  • Has a good knowledge of UK employment law
  • Works well as part of a team and is always looking to improve ways of working
