Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is hiring an HR Advisor for our Yorkshire Pudding site in Thorne. This on-site role supports the Site HR Business Partner with employee relations, investigations, coaching managers, and overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes.

You will ensure compliance with UK employment laws, maintain HR systems, and drive site engagement while supporting change initiatives and temporary-to-permanent transfers.

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience in FMCG, food or manufacturing is desirable.
• Experience advising managers on employee relations cases.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with Excel, Word and HR systems.
• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience.

Location: Thorne, South Yorkshire, DN8 5JS

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 – 17:00, Friday, 8:30 – 16:00

Contract:18 month Fixed-Term

Your Duties Will Include:

• Provide a proactive, on-site HR presence supporting the Site HR Business Partner
• Providing support for Employee Relation cases, including investigations, hearings, outcome letters and documentation
• Coaching managers across the employee lifecycle (interviews, performance reviews, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, Return to Work interviews, Occupational Health referrals, absence reviews)
• Supporting consultation processes (change of terms, redundancy, TUPE)
• Deliver and support site engagement activities, including community and charity initiatives
• Lead temporary to permanent transfers working with labour provider
• Support recruitment process with HR Shared Services and central resourcing teams
• Ensure all HR processes are compliant with employment legislation and internal policies
• Maintain accurate HR systems, databases and trackers
• Conduct Right to Work checks in line with legal requirements

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

• Previous HR experience (FMCG, food or manufacturing environment desirable)
• Experience supporting employee relations cases and advising managers
• Strong organisation and administration skills, including Excel, Word, and HR systems
• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Sound understanding of UK employment legislation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
