Job summary

Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) is seeking a HR Advisor to support its expanding Electrical Safety Division. Based in Castleford with hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day from home), you will provide practical HR support across a broad range of activities for around 1,000 employees.

This busy role includes ER cases, recruitment support, workforce planning and reporting. You’ll work with HR Business Partners and operational managers, leveraging your knowledge of UK employment law

Qualifications

• Previous HR Advisor or HR Officer experience.
• Strong employee relations knowledge.
• Good understanding of UK employment law.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused HR support across employee relations, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
• Support TUPE processes linked to acquisitions and growth.
• Advise managers on HR policy, procedures and employment law.
• Support organisational change and workforce planning.
• Produce HR reports and analyse trends (absence, turnover, headcount).
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.

We’re looking for a HR Advisor to join Premier Technical Services Group supporting our rapidly growing Electrical Safety Division. This is a busy, hands-on and highly varied role supporting multiple businesses and around 1,000 employees across a fast-moving operational environment.

From TUPE projects and employee relations cases, through to organisational change, performance management, recruitment support and day-to-day advisory work, this role offers the kind of exposure that genuinely builds careers.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck doing the same repetitive admin every day. It’s a chance to become involved in the real commercial side of HR within one of the UK’s leading Building Safety & Compliance specialists.

Based from our modern open-plan Head Office in Castleford (WF10 5HW), you’ll work closely with HR Business Partners, operational managers and senior stakeholders across multiple businesses within our Electrical Safety Division.

What you’ll be doing

As HR Advisor, you’ll provide practical, commercially focused HR support across a broad range of HR activities including:

• Managing and supporting a variety of employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters

• Supporting TUPE processes linked to acquisitions and business growth

• Advising managers on HR policy, procedures and employment law

• Supporting organisational change and workforce planning activity

• Producing HR reports and analysing trends including absence, turnover and headcount

• Building strong relationships with managers across multiple businesses

• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement initiatives

• Assisting with HR projects and continuous improvement activity

• Helping to maintain a positive, pragmatic and people-focused HR culture across the division

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working at pace, thrives in a changing environment and wants to continue developing their HR career.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience within a HR Advisor or HR Officer position

• Strong employee relations knowledge and confidence handling cases

• Good understanding of UK employment law

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach

• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

• Confidence working across multiple priorities at once

• Good IT and reporting skills including Microsoft Office

• Level 5 CIPD qualification (or working towards)
