Main Responsibilities for HR Advisor
- You’ll support managers with employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and wellbeing.
- You’ll manage weekly and monthly payroll, including statutory payments, reporting, and HMRC submissions.
- You’ll maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR processes are compliant and up to date.
- You’ll provide clear, professional HR advice in line with employment law and company policy.
- You’ll help promote effective communication, engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
- You’ll manage absence and family leave processes, ensuring a fair and supportive approach.
- You’ll contribute to organisational development and wellbeing initiatives that help our people thrive.
About the successful HR Advisor
- CIPD qualified or proven experience as an HR Advisor.
- Experience supporting HR projects, audits, and operational processes.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, multitask, and handle a high workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels and a diverse workforce.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently, with a desire to grow professionally.
- Solution‑focused, inquisitive, and committed to improving systems and processes.
- Highly organised, methodical, and detail‑oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive matters with discretion.
- Skilled in managing challenging situations and individuals with diplomacy and confidence.
- Able to remain calm and professional in fast‑paced, dynamic environments, while delivering excellent service.
- Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with HR, Time & Attendance, or payroll systems.
