Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Generalist HR Advisor to join a small but mighty team within a Global Manufacturing business, playing a pivotal role in supporting all HR functions across the manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws and promoting a positive workplace culture. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with management and employees to address HR needs effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and line managers on a range of HR matters including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, absence management, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Partner with management to understand workforce needs and develop tailored HR solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Support the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires within the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and health and safety regulations specific to the manufacturing sector.
  • Assist in managing employee relations issues, facilitating conflict resolution and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate regular reports on workforce metrics.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to support employee growth and operational effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and communication of HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Advisor, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ideally CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail.
  • You must be able to work on-site 4x days per week, occasionally 5 days.
