A recruitment firm is seeking a proactive HR Advisor to provide day-to-day HR support within a busy industrial services client. Responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, advising on policies, and supporting recruitment processes. Ideal candidates will have experience in HR advisory roles and knowledge of UK employment law. This position is located in Manchester, UK.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an HR advisory role or a strong HR officer background.

  • Experience with payroll processes preferred, but training available.

Overview

Axon Moore are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join a busy team for their client within the industrial services sector. This is a varied role where you\'ll provide day-to-day HR support across the business, working closely with managers and employees to ensure a positive and compliant people experience.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries across the business.
  • Supporting with employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent handling.
  • Advising managers on policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Supporting recruitment, on boarding, and induction processes.
  • Coordinating training and development initiatives.
  • Assisting with HR administration and reporting.
  • Carrying out a weekly payroll (once a week) to ensure accurate and timely processing.
About you
  • Previous experience in an HR advisory role (or strong HR officer background).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
  • Organised, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Experience with payroll processes would be an advantage (training can be provided).
