Job summary

A public sector organization in Leeds is seeking an HR Advisor to provide specialist HR advice and casework support. The ideal candidate will have CIPD Level 5 qualification and experience in employee relations within a local authority. This is a full-time temporary position offering £21.20 per hour Umbrella LTD, approximately £18.53 per hour PAYE.

Job description

A client within the Public Sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for an HR Advisor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an employee relations environment.

Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide specialist HR advice and casework support across the Council, ensuring compliance with policy and employment legislation while enabling managers to resolve workforce matters effectively.

Key responsibilities
  • Delivering high quality HR advice and casework support on employee relations issues including grievance, discipline, sickness and performance
  • Coaching and advising managers to build confidence in handling people management matters independently
  • Ensuring HR casework is managed efficiently, confidentially, and in line with Council policy and employment law
  • Working with trade unions and attending hearings and appeals as required
  • Supporting the HR Service Desk and helping develop HR guidance and manager training
Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require CIPD Level 5 qualification and a strong background in employee relations casework.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £21.20 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £18.53 per hour PAYE).
