Job summary

Broady Flow Control is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team in Hull. The role focuses on employee relations, coaching managers and driving engagement within a world‑leading valve manufacturer serving defence and commercial markets.

You will provide day‑to‑day HR guidance, manage employee relations cases, support recruitment and development, and advise on policies and UK employment law to ensure fair, consistent practices across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Advisor or HR Generalist.
• CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification or progress towards one is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and practical experience managing employee relations cases.
• Confident to advise, coach and challenge managers at all levels.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills; able to manage conflicting priorities.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proactive, pragmatic and discreet with a professional approach.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor, HR Generalist or in a similar role.
• A CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or progress towards one, would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and practical experience managing employee relations cases.
• The confidence to advise, coach and constructively challenge managers at all levels, from the shop floor through to senior management.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• A proactive, pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach, combined with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
