Overview: CNC Recruitment is currently seeking a HR Advisor to join our client in Henstridge area - one of the largest metal fabrication company in the UK.
Job type – Full time, permanent
Location – Henstridge area
Working hours – 08:00 – 17:00 3 days per week, 05:00 – 14:00 1 day per week, 10:00 – 19:00 1 day per week
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Duties
- Leading and providing effective administrative support to the HR department, ensuring that records are maintained and processes followed in a timely and accurate manner
- Taking the lead on all people-related tasks and issues that arise (grievance/disciplinaries/welfare reviews etc)
- Reviewing and updating of all job descriptions, ensuring they all accurately reflect the roles
- Advising and supporting Managers on the recruitment and selection strategies and appropriate interview selection and evaluation techniques
- Leading all annual people processes for the company, e.g. performance reviews/annual appraisals etc, assist in providing training and guidance where necessary
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating of all HR policies and Staff Handbook, ensuring all are in line with current legislation
- Working closely with the Head of HR and Directors to understand L&D requirements; recommend and implement the appropriate development solutions (performance improvements, performance management etc)
- Supporting the HR team in line with the company values, culture and work ethic
- Supporting and contributing to relevant HR work and projects as and when required
- Supporting in the implementation and promotion of a coaching culture amongst the Management team
- Assisting and delivering key initiatives including inductions, supervisory training, coaching and more
- Attending all training courses as and when required
- Following all safe systems of work at all times. Identifying and reporting any shortcomings that become apparent whilst undertaking tasks or if the tasks change or new activities are undertaken. Liaising with the HS&E department to ensure such risks are assessed and procedures amended as necessary
- Actively engaging in the identification of risks within the workplace and the subsequent assessment development of suitable safe systems of work. When necessary, intervening to prevent breaches of health and safety and/or report as necessary
- Following the requirements of the Company Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures to help achieve a quality product for the customer and reduce the non-conformances
Qualifications
- Studying CIPD level 5 or qualified in CIPD level 5
