Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment?

We’re looking for an HR Advisor to join a well-respected charity based in Glasgow on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting the organisation through a peak period of activity. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while gaining experience in a diverse and busy HR environment.

The Role

As HR Advisor, you’ll provide proactive and pragmatic support across a range of HR activities, with a particular focus on Employee Relations. You’ll work closely with managers to guide them through complex and sensitive people issues while ensuring best practice and compliance with policy and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high-volume ER caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance matters.
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Support HR projects, change initiatives, and organisational development activities during a busy operational period.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate HR records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR and management teams to ensure a consistent and fair approach across the organisation.
About You
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor (ideally within the charity, public, or not-for-profit sector).
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER case management.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and comfortable working under pressure.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience).
