Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Confident managing employee relations cases with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR-related matters.
  • Support and manage casework such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, and sickness absence.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection activities.
  • Support the onboarding and induction process for new starters.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team.
  • Provide data and reports to support decision-making.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our clients team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional to provide comprehensive support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with managers and employees to deliver a high‑quality HR service.

Based in Glasgow, the role offers hybrid working, allowing flexibility to work both from home and the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first‑line advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR‑related matters, including employee relations, performance, absence, and policies.
  • Support and manage casework such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, and sickness absence in line with company procedures and employment law.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection activities, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer documentation.
  • Support the onboarding and induction process for new starters.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews, and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure consistency and best practice across the business.
  • Provide data and reports to support decision‑making and HR planning.
